Keep reading and you will notice that we have switched up the format a little bit. Instead of the same 3 questions with different answers each week, I wanted to offer more freedom and more variety in the responses to really let this be a platform for parents of multiples to share whatever they desire. @whitaturner is a mom of 3 who loves coffee & Jesus. I loved reading about her interaction with a woman in Target. It’s such a beautiful reminder that the simplest heartfelt comments can really help lift someone’s spirits. I wish you all the best and hope you can lift up those around you and that someone will shine a little sparkle your way too.
Funny Memory: I was getting a bath ready for the twins and had already taken their diapers off, which was a mistake. When I came back to get them, Weston had smeared poop on the floor from my living room into the hallway because he was running back and forth. It was gross and a disaster, but also hilarious
Advice: Do not be afraid to ask for help. Being a mama is hard enough, but being a twin mama can be extremely overwhelming. It really does take a village to raise our babies.
Memorable Interaction with a Stranger: The twins and I were in Target and this lady on our aisle noticed the twins. She began asking me if they were twins and how old they were. Then she looked at me and said, ‘I’m proud of you mama. You are doing a great job mama.’ It took me by surprise because I didn’t know here and she didn’t know me, but she simple breathed some encouragement and kindness into my day. Our brief interaction set the mood for the rest of my day. It reminded me that as a mamas we need to be reminded that we are doing a great job even when we feel like a hot mess. Her kind words and encouragement meant more to me than she will ever know.
